"I don't know if I can put it into words - my brain and body are still catching up with me! It was amazing, wonderful, enlightening, informative, fun, peaceful, even restful (despite still recovering!!). I had a number of 'aha' moments on the course, both directly related to learning about reiki, and related to my personal and spiritual development - all of which I felt there was place for on the course. Helen held the most supportive space for us all to learn and explore more, and as always, really set the tone of this being about spiritual development and exploration and an initiation into a sacred order of practitioners and teachers. I think I often learn better by doing, and by explaining things to others, and the opportunity to learn about performing reiju and attunements brought home to me their meaning and I truly felt how special and sacred these ceremonies and rituals are. There was a great balance of theory and practice, and being the excellent teacher that she is, Helen knows how to make learning interesting and engaging, as well as teaching us how to do that too, with it being a teacher training course. Reiki is love and Helen exudes that, as a reiki practitioner and importantly, as a teacher. It was clear to me (it always has been though), that Helen's aim is build community and bring people together. Her approach is about collaboration, not competition and she gave us so much love and support as she gave us the tools to be teachers too. I really admire this, because I still hold some of my own insecurity about whether there is enough space for me out there in the world, and it is easy to fall into a mindset of competition. Helen's attitude is so welcoming and supportive and gives me the courage to follow her lead and approach to life and work. I haven't commented as much as perhaps would be helpful on the actual aspects of the course that were positive but I hope it is shown through my own personal reflections and development how much I received from the course.
